Seder Plate Seder Plate

Beitza -Hard Boiled Egg
The egg gets harder the more you boil it.

Maror - Bitter Herbs
Parsley and bitter herbs symbolize the bitterness and harshness endured by the Jewish people.

Potato Skins
Potato Skins remind us of the hunger and famine in ghettos, concentration camps and during the war.

Olives & Dates
Olives and dates are fruits where you consume the outside; but, no matter how hard you bite, you cannot crush the core. These fruits represent the inner strength of Jewish core values.

Dry Fruits & Nuts
Dry fruits are wrinkled and ugly. Nuts are dry and hard. Both are sources of energy and hope. They are symbols of mourning and are present during Shiva. Nuts also represent the craziness of the holocaust and the war.

Sabra - Tuna Fruit
Tuna fruits have a thorny thick hide on the outside and sweet and soft on the inside. Lives and blooms in the dessert. Sabra represents Israel.
